'We have lived through the utter heartache of several second trimester miscarriages before the safe arrival of my eldest daughter.
The care and support me and my husband received from Kingston Hospital was incredible and we can never thank them enough, especially now we’re blessed with two wonderful children.'
The founders of momymoo understand the pain many parents sadly go through and have endeavoured to assist in the best way they can. Having received help from Kingston Hospital and the Born Too Soon charity based there, momymoo has made an effort to ‘give back’ to the Neonatal Unit. momymoo works alongside the founder of the charity, Pauline Woods, to help design and donate specific products to the unit, such as change bags. These are used when babies are transferred from the Unit to other hospitals. momymoo has also donated change bags to the Neonatal Unit at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust having met the fantastic team at the Baby Show in Birmingham.
Another charity supported by momymoo is the Ray's Playhouse charity. Run by parents and located behind the Sands End Playhouse, Ray’s Playhouse provides a drop-in community facility for pre-schoolers in Fulham. Ray’s Playhouse also gives support to parents who are in need of parenting advice. Parenting is not easy and momymoo recognises the need for services such as these.
momymoo also helps the Octavia Appeal, an independent charity that is run through the Friends of Royal Brompton. The Octavia Appeal raises funds for projects around the hospital, which is the UK’s largest heart and lung centre. In particular momymoo is involved with fundraising activities.
