    Essentials Messenger change bag

I carry a lot of things around with my two children and have never quite found the perfect bag for me. I’ve had one fall to pieces and another become battered by over use. This bag is deceptive. On first glance it doesn’t look very big – but once you start filling it up, you realise just how much space there is. The main part of the bag is really roomy. Big enough for changes of clothes, a few toys, nappies, wipes, nappy sacks and has a zipped compartment. This is a real bonus for me – I can zip away keys, my phone and purse without my 18 month old finding and hiding them! The bag has lots of external pockets. I use mine for snacks, handy things like tissues and hand gel, extra nappies. The thing I love most about the pockets is that my kids can never remember which one I have the snacks in and have almost given up searching my bag for treats without me knowing. Two bottle pouches means water bottles are out of the way and even if they leak, the contents of the bag never get wet. The bag also includes a change mat. I love this bag – it’s roomy but doesn’t look massive when I’m carrying it or have it on the buggy and the design is stylish. It wears really well. I’ve been using mine for three months and it looks as good as the day I first filled it up.

    "Very Handy"

I really like this travel changing mat. Mine came in lime green with a grey pattern and is lovely for boys or girls. The mat has packets that allow you to store in some spare nappies, wipes and creams etc. It also has a clip handle where you can clip to pram etc. Its great for short trips out when you don't need to take your full changing bag or for leaving in a different place in your house to save having to retrieve your usual mat. The only downside is a lot of changing bags now come with their own travel changing mat so it I wouldn't say this is an essential item but a nice splurge.

"Great travel changing mat, but a little pricey"

I was really impressed with this item. The mat I have is lime green with a grey bright floral print all over it. Hard to describe but really bright and funky and not too girly for my little boy. The mat has a padded handle with a big plastic clip which enables you to hook it over a handle or clip it onto something if you are carrying it. The mat has a thick velcro fastening strap which is easy to undo and re-fastens easily. It folds out into a large travel mat which is so much more useful than the tiny little mats that come with most changing bags. Basically you unstick the velcro fold out the mat and then fold out the sides. Simple and easy to one handed, especially with a wriggly boy. There is also a mesh pocket which opens out to the side which easily accomodates a couple of nappies and a pack of wipes. The nature of the velcro fastening means that it doesn't matter how thick the contents of the mesh pocket are, it will still fasten. There is also a large zip pocket on the front of the bag which allows for a few nappy bags and some nappy cream to be carried about too. I've also used it to store my camera when I've taken it out and about and that easily fits in too. This mat is a great design and appears hard wearing. My only concern is that it is quite expensive but it would make a great gift for an expectant mother. I really like this product and I use it all the time now, it is great for short trips out and we use it with both the pushchair and my little boy's smart trike which it is great for as it clips on the the handle of it. I'd definitely recommend it, with the proviso that it is expensive, but definitely a great, high quality product.

Bounty Review Of The Zoe Changing Bag

Sally says From a wide range of bags in all sizes, styles and designs comes the Zoe, a traditional style changing bag with plenty of pockets and useability. It has hand straps and a shoulder strap and can also be used as a backpack (just re-attach clips to the rings) and you can also clip it onto your pram. The fabric has a nice bold pattern and not only is the outside shower proof, the inside is also wipe-clean. It has a folding changing mat inside which could be a little more padded but is compact with its own zipped pocket to stow it in and it has lots of internal pockets too. There's a middle divider, a wet bag, two mesh and two slip-in pockets inside in addition to two larger zipped pockets. Outside, there are zipped and Vecro fastened pockets for your phone and a ring for your keys as well as slip-in pockets for food, water bottles etc. It is a nicely designed bag with plenty to offer for mums on the go.

    "Lovely Changing Bag!"

When this bag arrived I was pleased with how good quality it appeared to be, the print was unusual yet not too outlandish and it is exceptionally well made. It is incredibly roomy inside and has an array of zippable pockets where you can stash all your bits and bobs - it also has elasticated pockets at either end which I tend to put the elder kids drinks bottles in when we are going out. It comes complete with a zippable wet bag in which you can put dirty nappies after changing if need be and a changing mat - everything you need and more! I love this bag, and more than one of my friends have commented on how nice it is - top marks!

    Stylish Baby Changing Bags

Let's start with a proviso: you don't need a changing bag. However, though you can adapt your current bag or bags to life with a small baby, you might just find it easier to get one specially designed for the purpose, particularly for travel. It's very useful to have separate compartments for clean and dirty clobber, snacks, milk or cold drinks - and ones for your keys, purse and phone. And lastly, having had your life turned upside down quite enough, you might just want a bag that still looks like something a sane adult would choose to buy ... Another clever multi-use bag - again, it's usable both as a rucksack and a messenger-style tote bag slung over one shoulder. Rather than being a gimmick, in a changing bag this is a genuinely useful function as you never know when you might suddenly have to go hands-free and carry an unhappy bawling baby. There are plenty of pockets inside, and the compartment for bottles is kept well away from the one for less, um, fragrant objects. The key clip is handy too - saves fumbling at the front door with baby under one arm and bag under the other ...

    "Great Bag!"

I really love this bag, roomy and well designed, plenty of pockets and having twins means i need room for enough bottles which this certainly has - fits 2 avent wide-neck bottles on each side. Adjustable handle plus carry handles make it flexible and love the nappy organiser bag (easy to grab for) and of course the matching changing mat is great but also the buggy clips were so useful as it meant the bag was at just the right level in front of me when out shopping so i could pop purse in and out with no bending over all the time! As the bag is a soft material (but good quality) it means you can also squash it in to fit under pram etc if needs be, would really recommend this changing bag!

"Much more than a hospital bag"

This eye catching hospital bag would brighten up anybody's stay in hospital and is a must have for any mum-to-be. It is the perfect size for all your hospital essentials and has 2 external and 1 internal zipped pockets which are really handy and saves everything sliding around inside the bag. There is a pocket at either end which are perfect for fitting drinks in. The material is wipe clean inside and out and is excellent quality. The funky designs make a refreshing change from the normal hospital bags and is the perfect size to fit into the hospital lockers. The matching wash bag is a perfect accessory to go with the bag and again is a very generous size with a handy pocket on the front. I really felt very special using my matching accessories and got lots of compliments from other mums! The thing I like most about this bag is that it is so versatile, once it has served its purpose as a hospital bag it could be used as a hold all or would make an excellent beach bag, with plenty of room to fit everything you would need for a day at the beach. The handles are nice and wide which make it very comfortable to carry. This bag is an excellent investment and will last for many years and have many uses, I would definitely recommend it, it is a beautiful bag

    "Large Yet Flexable"

By the time I had discovered this bag my son had just been born and so we haven’t used it for its original purpose of a hospital bag. I don’t however see this as a disadvantage when reviewing as I imagine anyone considering this as a purchase will probably be looking at its long term value. The first thing I should say about this bag is that as soon as it was unwrapped it my mother wanted to steal it, making all the relevant "ooo" noises and dropping boulder sized hints of how useful she would find it and how nice it was. Due to its shape the size is deceptive holding A LOT of stuff, which in itself holds its advantage and its disadvantage. The disadvantage is that when packed to the brim full of clothes etc. it can be hard to rummage all the way to the bottom to fish out any bits that are needed as you will have to go through many layers. This being said however the solution is to simply unpack it and there are plenty of pockets to store smaller items and certainly it makes finding wipes, nappies and such like much easier. The advantage is that the tall thin nature does in fact make it ideal for confined space - the bag takes up a smaller amount of space in the car as it can be slotted into a narrow gap without the need to pile things on top or under it - therefore preventing the contents being crushed. In hospital it is essential to keep space around the bed clear in case of emergencies and it is certainly the ideal shape to store next to a bedside table/locker to keep the precious space you are allowed free from clutter. The fabric is flexible, lightweight and yet durable. The lightweight nature makes it lovely to use, you’re not carrying loads of clothes etc. plus the unnecessary weight of a large heavy bag. The flexibility does allow for this bag to be stuffed nicely full of all those essentials without putting pressure on the zip. It also make it ideal for storing away clothes, towels etc. when not being used for travel as again it will slip nicely under the bed until needed. Our bag is in the "Charms" pattern, which does seem to appeal to a number of generations, my mother obviously being one but my 12 year old cousin officially declared it as being "cool" so there is plenty of life to this bag for all the family. The bright strong patterns on these bags make them easy to spot in the midst of a boot full of chaos especially in a hurry or whilst juggling finding things and children. There is a separate changing bag organizer/wash bag that can be purchase and this is really useful. I find that when I am out and about now I pop the nappy change basics in here and I am no longer fishing around for bits and pieces, equally I can keep my boys nappies etc. separate so if I am sending my husband off to change my eldest son he can just take the organizer and not the whole changing bag. The other nifty feature of this is that you can pop it into any bag and you have gone from having a regular handbag to having a changing bag in one easy step! This bag has so far only been used for a trip to my mums for the week and it did the job really well, holding all my stuff for the week - the boys have their own bags - but I think from now on it will be my first choice to use for such trips as well as any time I require a large bag, gone are the ugly holdalls and sports bags. Already I have it earmarked for a trip to the swimming pool tomorrow - plenty of space for towels, costumes and arm bands for all 4 of us plus using the organizer for the nappy essentials and the pockets to store my purse and other valuables - EXCELLENT!

a larger wet bag and changing mat

It’s a very pretty, hardwearing bag. I love that fact that it has lots of pockets and I was amazed by the amount of baby things I managed to get in there. It still zipped up easily, even when crammed with things. The handles are very strong and quite capable of taking the weight. I’ve had lots of positive comments from friends that have seen the bag. Overall I’m very happy with it.

    "Good quality bright and cheery!!"

I immediately loved the print its bright bold and cheery and not what you would normally see on a folding changing mat. It folded up really neatly and into the perfect size to fit into my changing bag it would also fit neatly under a buggy or into any other larger sized handbag etc. It even has a clip on it so you can attach it to things so if it doesn't fit inside you can clip it on which I thought was a great idea! I Liked the inside pocket which I found perfect for fitting in a couple of nappies and some wet wipes it also has an outside pocket which is great for nappy cream to go in. Its really easy to use and to open which is ideal especially when your trying to hold your baby in one arm and open the mat up in another, and its a great size too nice and long and a bit wider than most fold up changing mats Its also really easy to wipe clean after use. overall I really liked this product and dont really have any negavtive points about it other than the price, I do think its a little but pricey for a changing mat.

    ''looks fabulous''

The Momymoo changing mat looks fabulous. The colours and patterns are really funky, it was right up my street. My mat was in the green flower pattern but as far as I'm aware, it is available in a few more patterns. The mat folds down into a rectangle shape at approx 25cm x 13cm so it's perfect for putting in your bag with all the other essentials that you need when you are on the go with a little one. Alternatively, there is a buckle attached to allow you to attach it to your buggy or even another bag. The fabric is also wipe clean which is ideal. When the mat is folded out to full size it measures 75cm x 39cm which is a decent size for most babies up to toddler age. The big plus point for me was that the mat is definitely not flimsy or thin like a lot of folding changing mats. There is a little pocket inside (visible when the mat is being used) which is perfect for nappies and some wipes although in my opinion the most you could have stored in there is 1 packet of wipes and 3 nappies. The mat has a front zipped pocket but its only big enough for some nappy sacks and a tube of nappy cream. It doesn't hold a massive amount but its enough if you're out for the day. Overall, I loved this changing mat, all my nappy changing essentials were stored together so no searching your bag trying to find things when you have a wriggling toddler on a changing mat which is always a bonus. I loved how trendy the bag looked, i loved the pattern, maybe a little girly for dads to use though. It's pretty much dad-proof as well so a big plus in my book! This premium folding changing mat retails at around £28 is a little on the expensive side but definitely worth the money.

    Momymoo Essentials Messenger Change Bag

Gorgeous change bag. Won a change bag set from Momymoo. It was well-sized and came with a changing mat along with a matching wallet. All were in this prettiest floral design. Made of oilskin so easy to wipe and keep clean. I'm totally in love with this set. It is just wonderful. The bag can be like a handbag or as a shoulder bag or even as a rucksack. Equally it can fix on the back of a pram. And everything has loads of separate compartments that really makes you think that a real mom has thought the design of this bag through. Just love it! Easy to use, great quality. Designer bag set at £111 so value for money.

"Brilliant bag with so many uses"

This bag is so versatile. Not only is it a perfect hospital bag, with many deep pockets to store maternity pads, nappies etc. in, but it's perfect for a weekend bag, hand luggage, swimming bag, and more! It's really well made and feels very sturdy. It's deceptively big, so you can fit an awful lot in it. The matching wash bag is a great accessory as that too is large and multi-purpose. The bright design makes a welcome change to the usual dreary selection of hospital bags on offer and I felt really special using it! With so many uses, this bag is a sound investment or perfect present for an expectant mother (or anyone!) as it will last a long time and come in handy on many occasions.

    "Excellent changing mat"

I found this folding changing mat absolutely brilliant. really lightweight, folds easily and 2 good sized compartments for nappies & wipes. Once folded out its a really good size , i find most travel mats are suited more to a small baby rather than a 6-8m old.I love the bright colour pallette and print, really funky. Ideal for when we just pop out we can clip it to the pushchair and go as its handle is a strong handle and clip.Good quality materials used and not thin so comfy for the baby . Only thing i would say is i couldnt justify pay full price for this as it is a luxury more than a necessity.Great if you have the spare cash though .
